During the spiritual crisis that I started to endure in late 2017 I ended up getting a suggestion at a
church that had been helping me to resolve said spiritual crisis. Safe to say that for me who had no
church background to speak of prior to that spiritual crisis this was perhaps one of the more unexpected
suggestions someone could have given me.
It was pretty simple, the suggestion was that the next time I draw a picture
I ask Jesus Christ to draw it with me...Like I said simple, and unexpectedly powerful. One quick
prayer when I sit down to draw a picture and out of nowhere I'm
getting inspired to take my artwork in directions that looking
at it feel like they should have been a bit obvious looking back. The funny thing is I know for a fact
what I'm doing I wouldn't have done it on my own.
Above are the first two peices of artwork I asked Jesus for some help with.
While I have since published other pictures that I didn't pray that
way for right about the same time I was getting everything together to start the
picture, and I may still will in the future I took one look at the
results and ever since then tried to make a habit of uttering the same prayer right about
the same time I start a new picture. I didn't need anything more
than a good look at the results I got the picture that I might already
have been a good artist, but I'm a better one when I say what amounts to Jesus help me.
